This isn’t a product placement. I just really like going to IKEA. I enjoy meandering around the furniture, getting inspiration, and taking photos. I then head over to the restaurant for an early and cheap lunch with free coffee before heading down to the Marketplace to peruse and toss random things in my cart. Elle Luna talks about these artist dates as well. Do you know her book? It’s great! I think those artist dates are wonderfull and am planning to have my first one soon!

Keep working on it. I think even when we’re busy we have to carve out a little time like this. I definitely don’t do it that often, but even once a month is OK I think. For you J, maybe you could get a cup of coffee at City Bakery and meander in the pretty paper stores on 18th st. on your lunch break for even 20 minutes.
